Integrated NOV CTES Sirius data acquisition hardware built into a robust, weatherproof Dolch NotePAC® computer giving economical and fully portable CT and pumping data acquisition.

Sirius P-DAQ has inputs for CT and for pumping. Each set of inputs has a breakout strip connected directly to the Sirius P-DAQ. The pumping breakout strip is pictured right. Both strips may be connected simultaneously, allowing all the channels below to be logged and displayed at once, if desired.

CT Channels

• 2 Depth/Speed from quadrature encoders
• Pipe Heavy as 4-20mA pressure transmitter
• Pipe Light as 4-20mA pressure transmitter
• Circulating Pressure as 4-20mA pressure transmitter
• Wellhead Pressure as 4-20mA pressure transmitter
• 2 unallocated 4-20mA inputs for driveline or BOP pressure etc.
• NOV CTES CT DOG input as RS 232 serial port

Emergency Stop System, optional extra inputs:

• 2 reset interlocks as pressure switch inputs
• 2 stop outputs as current sink lines for solenoid operated hydraulic dump valves

Pumping Inputs

• Fluid Rate/Volume as proximity switch
• N2 Rate/Volume as proximity switch
• N2 Temperature as 4-20mA device
• 1 unallocated 4-20mA input for delivery pressure, etc.
• 2 Rate/Volume inputs for turbine flowmeters, with integral amps for clean signals even at low flow rates

Data Manipulation
Sirius P-DAQ runs NOV CTES Orion data acquisition software. Orion’s versatile display screens allow data to be displayed as data boxes, analogue dials or as a rolling strip chart. Emergency stop function allows the CT unit to be stopped in the event of overpull, oversnub or too rapid a change in weight. Job data is stored in compact databases. Orion contains a configurable report editor to finish the job.

By installing the Sirius data board into the Dolch Onmislice® extension housing, pictured over, NOV CTES has created a unique, compact ‘one-box’ data acquisition solution for CT and pumping field use.
